Maharashtra HSC Syllabus 2026: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will conduct the Maharashtra board exams 2026 based on the entire syllabus. Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2026 for all subjects can be downloaded by clicking here. The Board released the detailed syllabus for Maharashtra board 12th exams 2026 on the official website. The syllabus mentions the units, chapters and topics that are to be studied to score well in the exam. 

Students are advised to finish the entire syllabus 2026 at least a month before the commencement of the exams. They must also know the exam pattern well to know the types of questions asked, the difficulty level of exam and more.  

Each exam of HSC 2026 will be for 100 marks. You have to appear for 5 compulsory subjects including English. You have the option to choose 6th additional subject. Maharashtra State Board 12th total marks are 500 or 600, depending on the number of subjects you chose. Minimum 35% marks in each subject are compulsory to pass the Maharashtra HSC exam 2026.

No, examiners will not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit. Marks will be deducted for spelling mistakes in the Language Papers. Students are advised to be careful with the spellings, so that they won’t loose any marks. They are also advised not to waste time by writing much more than the word limit.

FAQs on Maharashtra HSC Syllabus 2026

The board officials conduct HSC exam in two shifts : morning shift from 11am to 2.10 pm and evening shift from 3pm to 6.10pm. The timings for all streams : Science, Commerce, Arts and general remains the same. All the students appearing for their board examination should reach their respective centers well before time to avoid unnecessary chaos.

A student will have to complete the paper within 3 hours. Earlier student was given 10 minutes extra time to read the question paper. But from now onwards, HSC student will be provided with an extra 10 minute at the end of the paper to complete it.

Students must focus on completing their Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2026 properly as thorough preparation will prepare them to answer the questions in one go without wasting much time on thinking what to write. Along with the syllabus, students must also be aware of the exam pattern and solve the previous years’ question papers

The English section of MAH BBA CET has the maximum weightage. This section carries 40 marks and Reasoning (Arithmetic and Verbal) section carries 30 marks. So, together they carry 70 questions, i.e. 70 percent of the total number of questions. General Knowledge and Computer Basics sections carry 15 marks each.

Thus, candidates must prepare for this section well. Candidates should not ignore it at any cost as a good overall score and overall percentile will be directly related to one’s performance in these two sections. If you score low in these two sections, you score will fall drastically.
